Mercadete will only offer products that have been approved in accordance with its commercial, safety and compliance processes. Tree Commerce may prohibit, limit or remove products even when they are legal in a jurisdiction, if their sale, export, transportation or delivery creates a regulatory, operational or safety risk.
6.1 Categories that may be prohibited or subject to additional review
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives and certain accessories or components.
- Controlled substances, illicit drugs and products whose sale is prohibited.
- Medicines, medical devices or other regulated products where an authorization is required that Mercadete does not hold or cannot use.
- Chemicals, hazardous, toxic, flammable, corrosive or radioactive materials, or products subject to special transportation requirements.
- Counterfeit or stolen products, or products that infringe intellectual property rights.
- Products subject to health, safety, import, export or customs restrictions.
- Products subject to special export controls or that require a license, exception, permit or authorization that is not available for the transaction.
- Products intended for restricted persons, entities, end users, end uses or activities.
- Any other product whose marketing, payment, transportation, export, re-export or delivery may violate applicable law or Tree Commerce’s internal policies.
6.2 Products intended for Cuba
The presence of a product in the catalog does not mean it is automatically authorized for export, re-export or delivery in Cuba. Eligibility may depend on export classification, country of origin, manufacturer, U.S.-origin content where applicable, destination, end user, end use, economic sanctions, licenses, exceptions and other applicable authorizations.
6.3 Right to remove or block products
Mercadete may remove a product from the Site, prevent it from being purchased for a given destination, limit quantities or cancel an order where an applicable restriction exists or where information reasonably necessary to complete a compliance review is missing.
