Tree Commerce is committed to complying with applicable United States laws and regulations relating to export controls, economic sanctions and international trade. The products and transactions available through Mercadete.com may be subject to requirements administered by BIS, OFAC and other competent authorities.
8.1 Transaction review
Mercadete may review, as applicable, the product, classification, origin, manufacturer, supplier, buyer, payer, recipient, end user, end use, place of delivery, intermediaries, logistics operators and other participating parties.
8.2 Cuba
Operations relating to Cuba are subject to specific regulatory requirements. The availability of a product on the Site does not mean that the product is automatically authorized for export, re-export or delivery in Cuba. Mercadete will determine the eligibility of operations in accordance with the laws, licenses, exceptions and authorizations applicable at the time of the transaction.
8.3 Right to reject or suspend
Mercadete may suspend, cancel or reject an operation when it reasonably considers that it requires an authorization that is not available; involves a restricted person or entity; presents incomplete or inconsistent information; involves a prohibited end use or destination; presents a risk of evasion; or cannot lawfully be carried out.
8.4 Required information
Users must provide truthful and complete information. Mercadete may request additional information or documentation to verify a transaction. A refusal to provide reasonably requested information may result in suspension or cancellation of the order.
8.5 Prohibition of evasion
It is prohibited to use Mercadete to conceal the identity of a party, provide a fictitious recipient, conceal the end user, divert products, structure operations to avoid controls, use intermediaries to evade restrictions or engage in any other conduct intended to evade export controls or sanctions.
